For endless unspoiled sand and surf, head for this oceanfront KOA on the Outer Banks. It’s just a few steps from your campsite over the dunes and right to the Atlantic. Walk the beach for miles, hunting for shells, casting for bluefish and scouring the surface for dolphins that often cavort on by. Or head across this sliver of an island - it’s just a quarter-mile wide - to Pamlico Sound, where windsurfers and kiteboarders scoot off toward the horizon.
There’s a full roster of summer activities at the campground - everything from pool volleyball, “water wars” and water aerobics, to basketball tournaments, to craft activities like bead jewelry making, to live skits and live music. Entertain yourself renting a kayak or paddleboat. Finish with a dip in either of two pools. Grab a bite at the poolside café. Fun here is as limitless as the sand.
We welcome campers year round with reservations (and limited amenities December 1 to March 1)
